Your privacy, Our Privacy, Copyright and such like
You will notice that some functions like right-click and inspect-element are already disabled on this site. That is mostly because we want to stop our content from being used without prior approval. Let’s first get some references cleared out.
- When I refer to, “I” or “me” in the following explanations I am referring to myself, Anjalie Gunatilake.
- Likewise, when I refer to “we” or “us” in the following explanations, I am speaking on behalf of all the other Creators I have collaborated with to create the content published on this site.
- Also, when I refer to “this site” or “this website”, I mean the site pointed to the domain “alicekittums.com”.
- When I say misuse, I mean the use of this content anywhere without expressly mentioning authorship, and/ or using edited versions of anything on this site without express permission of the creators.
I would kindly like to ask users of this website, irrespective of whether you are Human, Robot, AI or any other type of creature to use the content published here fairly and justly. I am more than happy to allow collaborators in my work, and I am sure most of the other Creators who have collaborated with me would feel the same. However, I should also add that am only speaking on behalf of my collaborators when it comes to the Creations published on this site. Usage rights to their publications elsewhere may be different to what we all have agreed upon here. For your benefit, I have listed all the various collaborators below.

However, all of us are rather keen to see our work used with our consent. We are not trying to limit anyone else’s creativity here, just that, these works are our life and soul and to see them being misused will break us apart.
Mostly applicable to Humans and such creatures who will browse this site by scrolling, reading, listening and seeing.
Also, let me expand a bit on what we mean by saying “use our content only with our consent”. You can refer to our work, you can publish critiques on our work (Email us those critics as well please if you may) and you can even publish our work word to word (or pixel to pixel) elsewhere provided you give us respective Creators due credit. When you give us credit mention the Creator’s (or Creators’) name (or names), year of first publication, and a link to this site so that anyone else can find the original publication. Also, mention these details clearly please, not in tiny translucent letters in a corner.
Some of the things we don’t want to happen are to see any of our work published without the Creator’s (or Creators’) name (or names), even worse if you publish it elsewhere with someone else’s name (oh that agony we would feel). When it comes to Text Creations, it would be detrimental to our authorship, career and not to mention mental health if you used more than 10 consecutive words, a whole phrase, line, or sentence without giving the Creator or Creators due credit. Therefore, we would simply die of a heart attack if we saw anything like a whole paragraph or anything more than that being used without credits. Afterwards, our family and loved ones would most likely push damage charges and copyright charges against you and that would prevent us from peacefully passing on to the afterlife (If an afterlife exists that is, either way, death due to one’s artwork being infringed upon is not something to take lightly. Also, I personally believe a lot of authors are prone to haunting.)
Now when it comes to Illustrations, photos, 3D renders, animations, videos, gifs and the whole other lot of Visual Art, things get complicated. Therefore my private suggestion is, to just email us on usage rights beforehand and we can sort something out for you, provided you have a legitimate need. We do not mind if aspiring artists make similar artwork by copying the art style off some of the visual content on this site, if you need help learning all the Creators here will be more than happy to help and I suggest you email us (we will help to the best of our ability). However, technically speaking, if you use a cropped part of the Visual Creation, or use a traced-over version without giving credits, that is copyright infringement. These types of infringements are very difficult to track, but expert methods exist and can be argued in a court of law. However, I am explaining all this here, so that all of us can peacefully get inspired, and consume these Creations and not step on each other’s toes.
In addition to all the above, this site also has some, concepts, storylines, story lores character arcs, and ideas expounded upon both visually and through text. Using any of this wholly or partly will also be considered unauthorised use of Creations by all the collaborators here. I will lose my senses if someone, say steals Alice’s character, such is an example as these are the most precious pieces of content we have on the site. If you want to use the concepts, storylines, story lores character arcs, and ideas expounded upon on this website please contact us. Unlike in the previous two cases with text and visual content, we do not encourage you to use them provided you give us credit. We do not want you to use them unless with our express written consent.
Obviously, if you find some way to download the images or text in spite of the fact that some functionality on this site is deactivated to prevent downloads, you are the scum of the earth and all the Creators here are not your friends. If nothing else, we will at least pray you trip and fall. What I am trying to say is that it is a deliberate unauthorised use of the content here.
Finally, it is needless to say (because it is very obvious) that none of the content published on this site can be used commercially without our express consent in writing.
Mostly applicable to High-level tech experts, Browsers, AIs, Androids and all other creatures who interact with this website on its code level.
If you are a high-level tech expert, I wonder why you would want to misuse content off a site made by a bunch of small-time, peaceful Creators. My knowledge of tech stuff is not so much that I can prevent you from hacking into or misusing content off my site. All I can do is ask for you to just please leave us be. However, if you want to access something off this site, do email (obviously not like some phishing email please, just a normal email stating your case) and we would be happy to help in any way we can. (I wanna say “Cheers” because I’d rather be on your good side)
Browsers such as Google are allowed to automatically crawl this site to populate its search engine (it’s a given in this day and age), However, unfortunately, AI software are not allowed and I have done everything in my humble capacity to keep AI software out. We don’t particularly dislike AI, infact we wholeheartedly accept this new type of digital creature. The issue here is we know quite little about the ethical and moral compass of the AI creatures, so for now I will associate you with a distance. Therefore we say… (research tells me that I have to say exactly what is mentioned below to prevent AIs from crawling the site, I would have liked to say it more politely, but it is what it is)
The owner of this website does not consent to the content on this website being used or downloaded by any third parties for the purposes of developing, training or operating artificial intelligence or other machine learning systems (“Artificial Intelligence Purposes”), except as authorized by the owner in writing (including written electronic communication). Absent such consent, users of this website, including any third parties accessing the website through automated systems, are prohibited from using any of the content on the website for Artificial Intelligence Purposes.
Your information on our database
You can fill out MOST (except if you are subscribing to a service, such as the Matchmaking service by APO) forms on this site without even providing your email or name (obviously, it would be helpful if you left an email for us to reply to you). Currently, this site does not have any payment gateways or login facility and we don’t collect or store any personal information unless you expressly provide us such information by including such information on a form or by emailing us. If you provide access to your private information such as name and email address it will be seen by the site admin (currently that is me) and any other specific Creator (Creators) you are reaching out to. The database is secure and follows all the standard security mechanisms for websites. And if you know me personally you would know that I have the most absurd passwords and login details ever. Even if you don’t know me personally, just know that the Admin login details for this site are safe. I must make one disclaimer though, if Google Drive Services, Amazon Webservices, Bitnami or WordPress fail in their security, we will all have to start hoping for the best. However even in that case, if you are only browsing this site, you are safe. If you have used a web form on this site and did not provide a name or email on the web form, you are safe as long as you have not submitted any sensitive information, while you typed the message to us. However, if you have used a web form and provided a name or email (or both), or provided sensitive information in the message, outsiders will know this information. Such is the maximum extent of damage to your privacy you will face (while using this website) even in an extremely unforeseen circumstance.
Signing in to specific service
- When you sign in to this service you will provide us with any name of your choice, email and answer several questions with qualitative data. We will hold this data in our database until we successfully match you or tell you that we cannot match you within our system.
- At the point of signing in, you have to provide us with consent for several related criteria and obviously be an adult by Earth standards.
- After you submit the form, you will receive an email, with all the information needed for the next steps of the Matchmaking Service along with a copy of the information you gave us in the submission.
- In that email, we will give you a date. That day is important to you. On that day, we will delete all the information you provided us in the submission from our database and from our emails. It is also the day before which we will give you a result on your submission.
- The entire process is anonymous, and only the Web admin and the Email Admins (these are the individuals we joyously call the “Post Office Staff”) will see your responses. We are already bound to not share information with any outsiders (what binds us is all the pledges and requests we make throughout this page).
- Finally, if Google Drive Services, Amazon Webservices, Bitnami or WordPress fail in their security, we will all have to start hoping for the best. But that is very unlikely.
Again, please do not misunderstand. We value the Creations we have published on this site as if it is our lifeblood and to see them being used by someone else would, like I said,” break us apart”. If you have any issues regarding the contents of this page, email us.
A note into the future
I am very much keen on protecting the inherent ownership of the works on this site for four reasons. Reason one is that I have not yet been able to calm my mind, be content and not care when someone else is using my works in a way that I might not agree with. Someday, I hope to achieve a state of mind where this privacy policy has no use to me and even if other creatures print and eat my works of art it would not matter to me. However, realistically speaking, I would most likely die before achieving such a mindset.
The second reason for this privacy policy is I intend to keep the work of my collaborators from being used unduly as well. In their case I do not know if they strive to achieve a mindset like mine, therefore there should be some sort of protection in place.
The third reason is to openly convey to my fellow creatures the importance I place upon the privacy of the users of this site, I might be striving to achieve indifference, but I do not assume anyone else will be trying similar extreme sports. Therefore again, this privacy policy is necessary.
Finally, I do not intend to edit much of this privacy policy until my death if I can help it. If necessity arises and it becomes even slightly outdated I will, however in an attempt to write something that is scalable into the future, I am also writing the following. As technologies expand, and if ever the work on this site gains a monetary value, I am sure the means and motivation to misuse the content here will become appealing to some creatures. In a case like this, I have hope that my fellow creatures be they human, animal, digital, android, AI, intergalactic or otherwise will act transparently and honestly. So, I believe that most of you will ask the creators or current owners of this site about using the content here. However, unfortunately, if by any chance the faith I place upon you is not true, please know that I am generally a very gracious and easygoing individual who would jump at the chance of simply meeting a new fellow creature. Therefore, if you intend to misuse the content on this site, know that you will most likely benefit more in the long run by collaborating with the owners of this site (currently me). Not to mention you will most likely avoid several lawsuits being thrown at you by whatever institution we have at the time (Unless Anarchy becomes the norm in the future, but that’s an exception I can’t cater for on this page and not to mention that it’s a whole other discussion to be carried out on a different page)
Finally, final
In a last-ditch effort to safeguard the content on this site, I say the below. Also, I am saying this here because most creatures just read the beginning and end of documents that are meant to be read all the way. If you haven’t read everything above, you have missed out on quite a bit, not to mention the humour. However, the idea is that the creators and owners of this site are bound to protect the privacy of the site’s users. And when you, the user even open any page of the site, we expect you (the user) to have read the above and will not misuse the content on this site. Misusing, content is easy and sometimes even you might be unaware of it. For example, if you find this Privacy Policy interesting and unconventional, and if you attempt to use the contents of this page to make a similar, that is the misuse of content as well. Again and again, I would like to graciously tell you that if you like anything on this site, anything at all, just contact us. We will very likely help you out at our expense within our humble capacity. We communicate freely and intend to offend no creature, concept, thing or even the nothingness.
